Despite the unfortunate situation, the dissolution of marriage has become commonplace in society.
Why families break up
People like to talk about which reasons for the dissolution of marriages are more significant and real, and which ones are fictitious and trifling. At the same time, the position of a man and a woman in the same situation is sometimes completely different.
The data collected by sociologists identify the following main causes of divorce in the United States:
Early marriages and pregnancy. The main peak of divorce (50-62% of all divorces in the country) falls on the first years of marriage. Haste and frivolity, and as a result - the unwillingness of young couples to resolve the conflicts and disputes that have arisen, unjustified expectations, early pregnancy and the couple's psychological unpreparedness for the birth of a child. The end result is a divorce.
Alcoholism and drug addiction. One of the most common causes of divorce (more than 20%) is such a social pathology as drunkenness or drug use by one of the spouses. An addicted person is not able to control his actions and deeds, as a result - money spending, quarrels, sometimes reaching violence. In such a situation, the collapse of the union for the second partner and for the children is almost the only way out.
Gaming addiction. Stress is the main factor that makes people realize themselves in the virtual world, dragging and losing all the property. According to statistics, people under the age of 35 are susceptible to this disease, and it is game addiction that causes the departure of the second half from the family.
Treason (about 10%). A very sensitive topic of divorces, because it affects the most important of the feelings - love, which is often a motivational "lever" in the formation of a family. The presence of infidelity may indicate disharmony, frequent conflicts, disagreements between spouses, which occur not only in young families, but also in well-established successful marriages.
Violence in the family. The aggressive behavior of the spouse, which includes any form of aggression from irritability up to physical violence, is a significant reason for the breakup of the family. Unfortunately, not all abused women file for divorce.
Financial problems. An unfavorable financial situation, the lack of a permanent income, or the unwillingness of one of the partners to work, entail serious financial problems for the whole family. The second side begins to press on a non-working partner, claims and conflicts appear. Due to constant material need, the other side takes on the responsibility of providing for the family or finds someone who will provide it better. As a result, the marriage begins to "burst at the seams" and breaks up.
Housing problems. Young families cannot always afford to buy a separate apartment, and therefore are often forced to live together with the parents of one of the spouses. This entails a number of problems, because not always two families are able to coexist peacefully in one house. There are conflicts, interference from parents in the life of the newlyweds, which leads to tension between the spouses and disagreements, quarrels and scandals. The result is divorce.
